Fontana always hosts an amazing event, the 2010 Fontana City Urban National followed the trend. Spectators got to see 4x World Champion Jared Graves up close and personal on the 4x course along side US National Champion Mitch Ropelato and a slew of local talent. To follow up the 4x show Fontana had World Cup racers and local shredders go through the shouting spectators down the waterfall section of the course before putting them up against the world (in)famous wall. With Mick Hannah, Aaron Gwinn, and EC racing the show was on.
Reigning US national champion Aaron Gwinn put down the fastest time of the weekend in a close win over Duncan Riffle and Mick Hannah. Every racer was out to win on Sunday and some pushed just a bit too far. Junior national Downhill champion and Elite 4x National Champion Mitch Ropelato was one of those racers who pushed the Fontana Course too far, but in crashing he showed why racers are a special breed, he quickly picked himself up and kept racing after a hard crash that would have shaken alot of people.
