Ensenada DH – Race 1

Racing in Mexico is a pretty wild affair, you have racers show up of all levels, with all types of bikes, from the young and brash with borrowed bikes and sketchy line choices to the experienced shredders of all flavors. The courses always have spectators, even when the spectators don’t know what they are watching they are cheering. No fancy timing, a friends borrowed truck becomes the unofficial chairlift; there’s a lot of heart in these races. At the start of the year Ensenada, Baja California hosted a local DH race in the eco-park Cañon de Doña Petra, a popular mountain bike spot 5 minutes from the main part of town and as usual the riders became the show.
